About Us
We are an inclusive West Germanic Heathen group located in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. We accept new members, of any level of experience, aged 18+ or of any age when joined by a guardian or parents.
Our name ‘Fyrgenwaru’ is an Old English word that means something like ‘Dwellers of the Mountain Forest’ and describes us pretty well. We are based out of the US 285 corridor that leads South from Denver, through Jefferson and Park Counties.
We practice a reconstructed form of West Germanic Traditional Spirituality that we call Ingwine Heathenship, which is inspired by the beliefs and practices of the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Frisians, and Chauci prior to the mid 700s. you can learn all about it here.
Worship of the Gods: Our spiritual practice centers around the worship of the gods revered by the West Germanic peoples. Drawing inspiration from ancient texts, folklore, and archaeological findings, we seek to connect with these deities in a way that is meaningful and relevant to our lives today.
Community Life: Our Heathen community is a tapestry of diverse individuals who come together for festivals, rituals, and shared experiences. We emphasize inclusivity and mutual respect, recognizing the richness that different perspectives bring to our collective journey.
