The Flemish and Dutch have an old tradition, when the winter arrives, the dead return. We put a candle by the window so they know they are welcome. I use this Joelkandelaar, when the licht is welcomed back at Bikkebrenne with the arrival of spring, I blow it out. I leave the candle in it all summer.
